Strengthening Minds stands out from other support and intervention programmes I have come across over in my time as DSL/ SENCo. The planning is meticulous for both practical and theoretical tasks, the high-quality resources and continuous reflection from the Strengthening Minds team and subsequent improvement means that the objectives are always focused, and available time is maximised.

Many school based external intervention programmes come in, run sessions, and leave. The impact is short lived. Improvements occur over time and for an intervention to be successful it needs to be run by staff that are established in a school and who are always on hand to sustain the interventions long term objectives. Strengthening Minds combats this, they lead by example and train school staff so there is never an end date to the impact that the programmes have on the students.  This way of working is invaluable and allows students to sustain progress and continue to feel supported. Strengthening Minds continuously keeps in touch with schools, continue to train staff and the CPD days are not only informative but great fun.
